Built in 1836, Oviatt House is listed on the National Park Service Network to Freedom due to the abolitionist activities of Mason and Fanny Carter Oviatt. Located at Richfield Heritage Preserve, the historic Oviatt House is currently undergoing restoration. Once restored, the house will be used as an educational museum to honor its significant ties to the Underground Railroad, preserve the pioneer spirit of the Western Reserve, and inspire the community and future generations to celebrate the freedom it represents.
